Jamie was always going to be destined to be a skier. Born to a French father Jamie spent his early years zipping up and down the poma lifts in Flaine and Mourillon.  According to his mum he used to cry when leaving ski school.

He started his journey as an instructor in Banff, Canada  where he got his first qualifications. Loving Canada so much Jamie spent the next 10 seasons working at a small resort in BC called Silver Star where he gained his Level 4 CSIA and became a trainer and evaluator.

It was finally time to move on and Jamie was offered the position of Technical director and after Co-director in Zermatt with European Snowsport.

Another new opportunity came Jamie’s way when he was asked to pioneer a new ski school in Nendaz, Switzerland for European Snowsport.

After a year back in Europe Jamie got involved in IASI (The Irish Association of Snowsport Instructors) where he worked as a trainer/examiner before being asked to become Head of Education for the association as well as Interski Demo team coach.

In 2019 Jamie coached and was part of the IASI demo team in Pamporova in Bulgaria for the Interski congress.

Jamie now calls the 4 Valleys his winter home, enjoying all of its diverse terrain and stunning views.

Mel has always loved outdoor pursuits and found her first adventures white water kayaking, mountain biking, trail running and horse riding.

Mel found the joy of snow sports after a college trip snowboarding in France.  It was the perfect combination of adrenaline sports and mountain life. After meeting Jamie 13 years ago they started on their journey together to Canada.

Mel qualified as a snowboard instructor and later gained her level 3 CASI. After this she was able to become an evaluator to train new instructors. She also became a ski instructor making the most of the incredible team in Silver Star, Canada.

When returning to Europe Mel was offered a position to work with European Snowsports in Zermatt.

After 2 fantastic seasons in Zermatt Mel moved resorts to Nendaz to start the new venture with Jamie and European Snowsports Nendaz.

Phil first strapped on a board when he was 12 and got hooked straight away! He went every year with school trips then every year with college where he realised that teaching snowboarding for a living is exactly the road he wanted to go down. However, once a year for a week just wasn’t cutting it as you can imagine. So he worked his butt off in the summer 2012 to save every penny he could to go towards doing his BASI 1 & 2 in Tignes. What an amazing experience that was!

Then straight from there he started working all around the world doing what he loved.

So next step was to achieve the ISIA level 3 stamp and then finally onto the ISTD level 4! He knew it was a tough road ahead with many obstacles, but hey, if you have the love and passion for something that bad, go for it!!

From the ages of 19 -22 yrs Phil competed in freestyle comps and now competes in Freeride events when he has time.

Now a BASI ISTD his journey has taken him to so many beautiful places all around the globe.

Snowboarding for Phil is his life and he is forever grateful for all the opportunities it’s brought him.

Anyway, enough chit chat, let’s go shred!

See you out there 🤙"””””””””””
